An Introduction

As part of the set-up of the year, you have been asked to write a personal introduction.

WHERE: On your blog
WHEN: By English on Monday 11 February

The purpose of this introduction is manifold, however the main function of this is to ensure that your teacher knows everything they need to be able to best work with you this year. In class we discussed the content of this letter and came up with the following suggestions.

  • Stories from life that explain who you are
  • Important people in your world who you strive to emulate or who have influenced you
  • Information about you as a learner, including key experiences that illustrate how you learn/don’t learn
  • Your background, culture and history
  • Instructions for your teacher to ensure they work well with you
  • Questions from your teacher
  • Anything else that might help us have a wonderful, thriving year in English.
